At the Indigenous Peoples’ Day march on Enbridge tar sands pipeline infrastructure, I got to chat with organizer Tara Houska, a daughter of the Couchiching First Nation and a former Bernie Sanders advisor. I asked her for input and advice for my campaign, and she volunteered that she had thought about running in for Congress in our district. So I’ve constructed this twitter poll to gauge support for her in our district if she we to run in our DFL contest, where Marje Holmstrom-Sabo, Quinn Nystrom and myself are the announced* candidates.
Below is a poll that is running on twitter that started some hours before posting this article, and runs for just 24 hours. You need to be logged in to twitter for it to work. At some point it might be worth re-running this with a DailyKos poll or on a different platform.
*I have yet to publicly announce to press but have filed FEC paperwork for the 2020 cycle, reactivated my ActBlue account, spoken at a few DFL events, have registered new voters at public events, and tried to make some basic plans to launch if my campaign reaches a credible threshold for support. If you want to persuade me to win, donate to the campaign, e-mail me your endorsements and encouragement, and commit to caucus and volunteer. Thank you!
